Changing your password

Changing your password

If you want to rotate your Innovibe password - for routine security or after a concern - you can do it straight from the Client app without needing a reset email. The Password tab under Account settings is a short three-field form.

You'll need:

  • Your current Innovibe password
  • A new password you'd like to use

Step 1 - Open Account settings

Tap your avatar in the top-right corner of any screen, then tap Account Settings. You land on the Settings page with three tabs.

Tap the Password tab (middle of the row).

Step 2 - Fill the three fields

The Password tab has three password fields, in order:

  • Current password - the one you're logging in with right now.
  • New password - the one you want to use from now on.
  • Confirm new password - retype the new one so Innovibe can verify there's no typo.

The Password tab of Account settings on a phone, with three password fields (Current password, New password, Confirm new password) filled with dots and a coral

All three characters are hidden as you type. If you want to double-check what you've entered, tap the show-characters toggle on your phone's keyboard.

Step 3 - Submit

Tap the coral Change password button at the bottom. The label changes to "Changing password..." while Innovibe saves the update, then returns to "Change password" once it's done.

If anything goes wrong, a red message appears under the affected field. The most common issues are:

  • The Current password you entered doesn't match what's on file.
  • The New password and Confirm new password don't match.
  • The new password doesn't meet Innovibe's minimum complexity rules.

Fix what the message points out and tap Change password again.

After the change

Once the button returns to its normal state without any error messages, your password is changed. You stay signed in on this device - there's no need to log back in here - but any other devices you're signed in on will still be using the old password until you sign out and back in there. If you want to force those sessions out, change the password again from each of them, or contact support.

Forgot your current password?

If you don't remember your current password and can't complete this flow, sign out and use the Forgot password? option on the login screen to reset it by email instead. You don't need to know the old password for that route.

Common issues

  • "The field messages say my current password is wrong" - check for typos, and make sure Caps Lock isn't on. If you truly don't remember, use Forgot password on the login screen.
  • "New password and confirmation don't match" - retype both. Small differences like a trailing space or an accidental capital letter are the usual culprits.
  • "Changing password..." stays on the button - likely a weak connection. Wait a moment; if nothing happens, back out, reopen the Password tab, and try again.
  • "I want the same password on the Innovibe web app" - Innovibe accounts are shared across the mobile app and the web app. Changing it here changes it everywhere.
